Originally recorded to soundtrack streamer pChal’s 2025 Pokémon Run and Bun event, the title “Play Around The Crit” references Pokémon short-hand for an attack that deals unexpected extra damage. To “play around the crit” means making a safer choice that keeps you in the game, even in the worst-case scenario. It’s a natural metaphor for Origami Angel’s outlook––in a world of unavoidable setbacks, true resilience comes from learning from them and continuing forward anyway.
