Civilians is a Melbourne-based independent record label working with Australian and international artists across Australia and New Zealand.
Founded in 2013 by Stu Harvey and Leigh Gruppetta, and formerly known as Cooking Vinyl Australia, Civilians focuses on direct artist signings, release strategy and label services built around long-term careers.
Our Australian artist roster includes artists such as King Stingray, The Southern River Band, Fanny Lumsden, Emma Donovan, Parkway Drive, Jebediah, Hands Like Houses, Jem Cassar-Daley, Eliza & The Delusionals and Windwaker.
Alongside our artist roster, we work with respected international label partners including Thirty Tigers, Run For Cover, Equal Vision, Bargain Bin, Counter Intuitive, Parkway Records, and Greyscale to build the profile of their artists in Australia, and to make it easier for their music to be found in Australia.
Civilians.shop is owned and operated by Civilians. Fulfilment is handled out of Sydney, and orders are processed and shipped daily.
