Boondall Boys - Hard Rubbish

Boondall Boys were formed in 2006 by Nick "Turbo Nicko" Bertram, Sean "Dr. Rock" Tracey and John "Mad Macka" McKeering. In 2007 the album Hard Rubbish was recorded by Liam Llarmo Cusack in Bardon, Brisbane, Queensland underneath Cusack’s house.

The recording techniques used were unorthodox, primitive and spartan producing a record which was released around 2008 of 100 copies. The first press of the album was released and subsequently all albums had to be recalled because of production problems.

Shortly after another 100 copies were released and substituted to people who had bought the original copy so that they had a copy that “worked”, so essentially, there are 200 copies of this record in existence, only 100 of them are playable.

A few seminal shows were performed and not much else happened.

15 years later a 3 minute conversation with The Chats label Bargain Bin Records and a reissue of HARD RUBBISH was decided upon.
